New AC fan runs constantly

I have a 2002 Holiday Rambler Neptune 34PDQ diesel motorhome. I just installed an Atwood 15028 AC unit, which has a heat pump for providing heat also.. It performs great, except for the fan not shutting off when it reaches the correct temperature. I have left it run for hours on AC/AUTO, checked the air temp on the thermostat, raised the temp so the fan should shut off, but it does not. I have found out that the sensor for the temp is not in the thermostat itself,but in the return air duct somewhere in the AC unit.

Does anyone else have this make/model of AC unit and have any input?

Verify the thermostat setup and wiring.

Verify the wiring inside the unit.

It is on Auto. In fact, last night I tried the heat pump on Auto.The fan does turn off with the heat pump when set on Auto but not on AC when set on Auto.

Verify that the thermostat fan setting is set to "auto" and not "on".
