We just purchased a new Toy Hauler and took it out this weekend for the first time.I noticed yesterday that the toilet had some water behind it so I investigated and found that when I release the foot lever, the valve spits water out of the back of the toilet towards the top. I took the seat off and see that there's a valve that has a hole, or vent. This is where the water is coming from.I did a little research and figured it was too high of water pressure so I filled the holding tank and ran off of the water pump but it does the same thing.Any suggestions on how I can fix this? The pedal seems a bit stiff, but not overly. When releasing the pedal, it makes a definite suction type close which is when it spits the water. You can't ease your foot off as it pretty much slams shut when within the last couple of inches.

It is new. Contact the manufacturer or the selling dealer and let them fix it.

My Rockwood did similar; but after a few flushes it quit. Look carefully at it where the spray head is in the bowl.

just shot in the dark here, does it do it when you slowly close the foot valve or slam it shut?

My water inlet comes into the tank from the rear, much like you described. It merely just sticks into the back of the toilet. You might need to only pull it out, it may be partially out already, give it a slight coating of petroleum jelly, vasoline, and stick it back in firmly.

The vacuum break will have one hose leading to it. The hose is secured with a hose clamp,could the clamp be loose? Some models have an optional spray nozzle attached to the Vacuum break. It is also secured with a hose clamp.

I have two ideas.. Old-Biscuit already told you the first (Just above this post) the 2nd is even easier to fix. (As in any easier and..) Cheaper too.

Now. On many toilets just behind the seet (if you have the lid up) is a "Cap" like thing, this covers the vacuum breaker and the tube that actually puts the water into the toilet.

If that tube is missing, has come off the breaker or is positioned improperly.

I'd take a look (you may be able to see it with an inspection mirror and not even pull the cap) before cvalling the dealer.

That is the vacuum breaker that is leaking....vent on top allows water to drain from system downstream (after) of water valve when pedal closes.

No adjustments.

What brand/style of toilet?
