No city water

I just returned from a short trip in my 5th Wheel Rv. While set up in the park I noticed I had plenty of water pressure while using the pump (onboard water). However, when attempting to use the city wate connection I found I had intermittent or no water pressure.
Any suggestions on where to look for the prroblem?
  • sounds like the cG had problem, try it at home and see if you still have the problem.
  • Your inlet screen if equipped could be clogged.
Do you have an inlet filter?
  • Were you using a water pressure regulator? If so, it might be defective.
  • City water connection........washer with screen clogged OR check valve inside connection is jammed up restricting flow or whole house water filter on city water line is plugged up.

OR if you have a water/utility panel the valving was not properly set
  • Had a similar issue a couple years ago. Turned out the Pressure Regulator went bad. With it connected, no water flowed.

  • Do you have a selector value for city water or pump? May be in the wrong position.
  • Back flow preventer valve could have come apart restricting water flow.
  • Had same thing last week check washer screen in the water intake connection on the RV. Ours had some stuff clogging it.
