No heat in bedroom

Hi! We have a 2009 Montana 3400rl 5wheel. We bought it used, and will be living in it for a year. The dealer we bought it from was supposed to clean it and check it out, but they didn't. Now we have issues. Most pressing is that there's no heat to the bedroom, but there is the to the rest of the unit.
Any ideas?

Reading through the literature, we've found that our heater is a propane heater, not electric. Interesting that they should do this in a 5th wheel that has the arctic package. But anyway...when we were setting up our 5th wheel, it was discovered that there is a problem with the propane auto-crossover and the regulator. The red pop-up indicator that reveals the cylinder is empty was showing, and after I filled the tank, it didn't change. So, I s'pose we'll get a couple of electric space heaters and tackle the propane system tomorrow.

We have electric heaters we run when we are at a campground where you are paying by the night. It get cold here in Nebraska We camp up until Oct. 31 every year and lots of 20 degree nights and we stay plenty warm. Is the rest of your camper getting warm? When our furnace is going it is plenty warm in the camper. If you dont pay an electric bill Sams club has a really nice heater with air ionizer on it that should about heat the whole camper. down into the 20s

One day I popped into Chief's RV ( who sold us the 5th wheel) to talk to them about putting the hitch into the back of our truck. The guy (who looked a LOT like Ted Danson) asked "Are you going to live in it?" to which I replied, "Yes", and he said, "Wow (with a shake of his head) that's going to be really tough." "How so?", I asked, and he said, "The cold will getcha", to which I said, "We're relocating to Western Washington" and he got a blank look. One of the other guys chirped up, "He's from Idaho". All of us did knowing nods.
Well, now we have Idahoan cold temps here in Western Washington. Could it be that our unit just can't keep up? It's supposed to have the arctic package, so you'd think it could.
Rather than undertake an expensive search and fix, I think I'm going to buy an oil-filled space heater for the bedroom. That should make it fine.

Most likely if you are getting air flow its fine our 5th wheel is 34+ feet long and the furnace is below the frig towards the back half of the camper, So the bedroom above the hitch is the farthest register from the furnace our room takes forever to heat up. The kids bunk is supper hot. I ended up getting a new adjustable register for the kids room and block it 90% off and that made a big difference.

Buy yourself a handheld infra-red thermometer to measure the temperature at all the heater vents. This will tell you whether the vents are receiving warm air. Years ago I held my hand in front of the vents to see if the air was warm but I couldn't tell how hot it was--now I know with certainty. I keep my thermometer in the RV to measure over heated brakes, engine and even cooking temperature.

There is a good strong air current coming through the registers which tells me that the duct is alright. So, I turned the heat up from 65 to 80 and will stop by in the morning to see if it's like an oven. Of course, other thoughts, it could be that after living in a good cents house for the last 20 years, now we have the realities of thinner walls and insulation, and heating systems that leave us scrambling to find out where we packed the sweaters.

Also check that the duct is attached to floor register in bedroom.

Depending on where it was Stored Mice like to build nest in duct lines and chew holes in them. Like the guys said check the duct in the basement you can see ours its in the open, you may have to remove a panel to get to it.

Agree with Peg Leg. It happened on our 2011 Montana. You'll have to remove the panel in the main storage compartment (basement) to access the distribution ducts. I re-enforced the bedroom duct with aluminum duct tape and self tapping screws.

Check in the basement near the furnace for a duct hose that may not be connected.
