No hot water in electric mode

Question

I have a KZ travel trailer with a Suburban Water Heater model sw6del. On our last trip, was using the heater in electric mode for a few days.  Then it stopped working in electric mode. Switched to propane and we got hot water to finish our trip.  I did not have time to look at it before we returned home. Just asking for idea's of what to look for?  Any ideas would be great!  Thanks

My first thought would be the electric element, cheap and easy to replace.

Grab a volt meter and start checking.  Temp sensor packs are a common issue, as are the switch in the lower left

Possibilities;Tripped breakerBad switch on bottom left corner of water heaterBad thermostat/hi temp cutout switchLoose wire (junction box on back side of WH)Bad heating elementStart tracing with a voltmeter until you find the point of no voltage (assuming you are comfortable troubleshooting 120 vac)

When mine died it was the water heater's heating element. It was corroded. and the Element was bad. I went to the hardware store and bought a new element.

You will need a heating element socket and a screw driver. it's really an easy fix
