Norcold Refrigerator makes odd noises starting on propane

I had something similar and turned out the gas burner had deteriorated a bit and a new one fixed the gurgling and made the flame burn much better (blue with nice shape). I never lost the flame but without the proper outlet at the end of the tube the shape of the flame was incorrect.
