Onan 5500 EVAP died
115 degrees F at the lake and ONAN quits. Quick inspection found gas spitting out the front of the carb. So as not to ruin everyone's camping trip, I make a 5 hour round trip to get my backup genera...

Not strange at all.
No fuel flows TO the carb if the fuel pump is not running.
