Onan 7000/ac

Question

I have an Onan 7000 with 3780 hours. About a month ago the generator would start with no power. We changed the brushes and transfer switch and it was fine. Last week my ac started tripping the breaker on the generator and the compressor would turn on and off. Today, with the ac on the generator would start sputtering and stalling but no flipped breaker. Any idea what’s going on? I don’t know where to start.

Start by finding out WHICH OF THE TWO is at fault

Yes, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I’m assuming A/C but not sure where to start in my search for the culprit.

Turn off the A/CGet some other loads to run from the  generator,Electric heaters, air compressors, coffee maker , water heater and fridge on electricLoad up the generator with as many loads on different circuits as possibleDoes the generator handle it ?If so you have an A/C problem
