Onan Energy Command 30 Auto Starts when plugged in

Onan Energy Command 30 Auto Starts even when connected to Shore Power.

Onan Energy Command 30 Information
Safety is set to Ignition
HVAC Run Request tested fine with Basement A/C.
Tested for Shore AC power and it shows it is working.

When plugged into 50 Amps and the Onan Energy Command 30 is set to Auto Start it starts up the generator when the A/C Thermostat is turned on. Temperature inside is 97 Degrees, outside temp is 113 degrees.

When the Onan Energy Command 30 is set to Maunal, the A/C kicks on using Shore Power.

I checked all the breakers & they are on & seem tight.

I tried to search online & have read everything I could find remotely related. I tried to provide all the information that I thought you might need, but if I left something out, please let me know.

Any help is appreciated.

enblethen, No, there is not a separate battery for the generator.

Wa8yxm, (I am originally from the suburbs of Detroit) House Batteries are 3 months old & are reading plenty of voltage. The reason I was wanting to set it to Auto was that with my old motorhome, the power had gone out & I didn't realize I wasn't charging the batteries so I thought having the generator detect low voltage would be a good back up plan.

I would go to page 22 of manual and verify each of the sensor inputs.

IF the batteries are very low the generator has not the power to start.
Plugging in brings the 12 volt system up enough to start the generator but not enough to convince the batteries are low.

I'd set the system to manual when on shore power.

A sensor is telling the unit to start.
You checked which batteries? Does your genset have a separate genset battery?

enblethen, thanks for your reply. Yes, I have check battery voltage. Even if it was low, I would think that being connected to Shore Power would overide the generator from starting? It is detecting Shore AC power. I ran the test through the Energy Command 30 and it shows it is working.
