Onan Marquis 7000 not firing plug.

A friend just purchased a coach with an onan Marquis 7000 generator.
The generator cranks fine but will not start.we have it narrowed down to
The spark plug is not firing.it will spark once every now and then but not
Enough for motor to run.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Once again, our favorite reply....

Please list the entire model number and the serial number in the post. ONAN makes a bunch of Marquis 7k models. They have different generators, ignition systems, carburetion systems, mounting systems, etc. etc.

We know what your problem is but we need the model and serial number to be sure we are right and that we don't steer other people wrong.
