Onan Woes

Question

Howdy, my new Onan 4k Micro lite. (in 2003 Winnie Mini 24V) won't stay running.  Starts ok and runs for about 15 mins. then stops.  No low oil, issue, hear fuel pump clicking while priming.  IF the carb was gummed up, I would suspect no or hard starting and rough running.  Any ideas why it won't continue running?  Thank You

Fuel pump. I had one that did the same thing. Would run for 15 . . .20 . . . 30 minutes then die. Changed pump then no more issues

must have 1/4 or better of gas in tank

X2 - Had the same symptoms with our Onan 4K several years back. Check the prime function immediately after the gen shuts down by itself. If no sound from the pump, replace it. For a description with pictures of how I replaced mine click on the link below.

Heat kills those fuel pumps.Mine was changed out under warranty.
