suppose you'all have done this and know the parts and plan

An extended flow kit does not cost anywhere near that price on Amazon, check with local propane or RV shops.

It could be put together cheaper maybe if you can find the Marshall Tee that comes with the kit. That's the whole key to the kit. I bought mine in '04 for around $89.

Here's the Extend A Flow Kit. It tees off your tank with the tee shown. Simpler then cutting into the gas pipe. Simple solution I used for about 9 years and you don't have to remove the regulator on your bbq.

The clamps are an ordinary plumbing wholesaler item and the "feet" are electrical unistrut.

If you have a capped off tee underneath, it's real easy once you've collected the parts. If not, removing the black pipe to install a tee is more work, but not that bad. If you modify anything, you should leak test it afterwards.

The adapters are the easiest way to go for sure, but a quick-connect is a nice convenient thing to have. If your BBQ has a regulator on it, you'll need to remove it because you don't want two regulators in series.

On our TT, there was a capped tee underneath which made it easy to connect to and I ran a length of hose to the quick-connect and valve in the pic. I removed the end off the regulator on our Roadtrip grill and with the right fittings, connected it to the hose in the 1st pic. All parts readily available locally and they're all ordinary stuff. You don't need to go to CW to get any of the fittings or hose. You can try places like Ace Hardware, HD, stores specializing in BBQs and independent RV parts/repair shops. Dealers will likely gouge you. IIRC, I had to go to several places to get all the pieces.

This setup is simply so convenient and quick to set up. A highly recommended mod....

The best way I know to do that is to visit most any RV store and ask for an "Extend-a-Stay" or "Stay-a-while" adapter (Assumes you have a motor home)

These also work on trailers with removable tanks but they have a cheaper model (Extend-a-flow)

These go between the tank valve and the regulator.. All the above have

A Propane INLET that matches the POL valve on the Class A tank and/or the ACME valve on a trailer (NOTE: POL connectors also fit ACME valves) An outlet Again either POL or ACME to accept the current line to the regulator. And a "Quick Connect" that looks amazingly like the top end of a disposable Propane bottle (Identical in fact).. The hose hooks to here and has a matching fitting on it's other end.

In addition the Extend-a-stay type adapter has an INLET, this is about a quarter inch threaded fitting with a plug in it, and if you get the KIT, it will come with a 5 foot hose, ACME coupler on one end, fitting matching the inlet on the other. This gives you the following options:

All of them: You can run a grill or LP gas light or other LP gas appliance off the Motorhome/trailer tank, I have a 2nd 10 foot hose so I can go up to 20 feet from the tank with mine. (Kit comes with 10 foot appliance hose).

Extend-a-stay/stay-a-while.. I carry an "Emergency" tank of Propane, about 3-4 gallons.. Enough to last me a few nights even in the coldest weather I camp in should main tank hit EMPTY. Works great.

If you decide to tee it in that is fine. But be sure to use the proper teflon tape. The white stuff will leak. Go to the hardware store and get the yellow stuff it is made for propane and natural gas.

On our MH. I added an extend a flow and a shut off valve and can now run BBQ. and propane fire pit off main tank.

If you can access the black gas pipe under your trailer, it's not a tough job to cut in, thread pipe and install a tee. Other option is an Extend-A-Flow kit like I used on my old trailer to take gas directly off the tanks.

If you do tee off your propane line, put in a valve or petcock before the quick connect. That way, when the line isn't in use, you have additional assurance against leaks.
