I would use 1/2 PEX. Red for hot blue for cold.
other post you could use the same Pes for the vent line. it should have a small screw to keep bugs and debris. Should find in your local hardware store.

Yup pex and PVC is the way to go..buy a cheap crimping tool or use press sharkbites or equal...LI yea

I suggest using PEX for water supply lines; PVC for drains.
