Problem with basement air, second compressor.

My winnie basement air has worked fine for 12yrs.
So I guess I cant complain to much.
The system starts up and the first comp comes on line, then after 15/20 seconds the second compressor comes on line and like it has
for 12 yrs.the first compressor should drop about 2 amps.
But today the first comp amp draw went UP 8/10 amps, for a total of
24 amps on the first compressor.

Maybe the second compressor has a start cap that is bad, I hope!
Maybe a bad ground? Has anyone had such a problem or has any input.

I have cut the braker to the second comp, and am limping along on
the first comp. and the draw is 14 amps.
Any input would be appreciated......This site has been a great help
in the past....so thank up front! .....tenn.vol.

Yes,JD all is well!
As you may know, the generator supplies two voltages one for each compressor.
As I monitor the current on the first compressor at 14 amps,
the second compressor comes on line the amp draw will drop
2 amp on the first compressor.
Now sense my winnie only has a 30 amp power cord, with both compressors
come on that is a 24 amp draw. Dont leave me with many amps to play with.
