RV park pedistel voltage

Get a Progressive 50 amp surge suppressor. It will tell you exactly what the voltage is on each leg and the amps being drawn on each leg. Also, good surge protection for the coach.

Actual voltage will vary depending on demand as well as how well the system was designed, distance from the transformer, etc. It is supposed to be 120.

I suspect you'll get readings around 117, maybe 115 on a warm day with several campers using their air conditioning units. My electrical system won't accept 107 volts, as I found out once, so I used a battery charger to keep my batteries charged up.

Normal voltage can range from about 112 to 128 volts Ac. Emergency can go as low as 108 and high as 132. Damage to electronics can start above 132 volts.

Good previous post on power. RV parks are all over the map on voltage. I pulled into a small very well kept RV park. Hooked up to 50 amps & blew the breaker with 1 A/C on. When they came out to change the breaker I had a chance to look inside the box. Looked like it was #12 wire. The whole box was hot pulling 18 amps. I have gone into other parks and pulled close to 50 amps with no problems.

15,20 and 30 amp are 120 VAC with one hot, one neutral and a ground.

50 amp has TWO hots, a neutral and a ground. Measuring from hot to hot (outer straight to outer straight)= 240 VAC
