Many of us interpret this as "hold until you hear the pump start to load up". Don't see anything positive by pressurizing past that point.
Well Bert I don't know who many of us are so all I can do is what HWH says. The following is right out of the HWH 725 Operator's Manual : To extend the room, press and hold the ROOM CONTROL in the "EXTEND" position until the room is fully extended or stops moving. Continue to hold the control to "EXTEND" three or four seconds. This assures full pressurization of the cylinders. IMPORTANT: Do not hold the extend switch more than 10 seconds.
It says the same under the retract section.
I do know that if the cylinders are not fully pressurized you can get creep of the slides.
While the HWH manual states that, the HWH slide rooms ALWAYS have pressure whether extended or retracted. It is NOT to PRESSURIZE the system MORE. It is to verify that the rooms are fully retracted and extended at the stop points. But, yes, always hold the button for a few seconds after full retraction or extension. IF a slide room creeps and NO visible leaks, the odds are 99% of the time one of the 2 solenoids are leaking internally. Rare for a HWH cylinder to leak internally(that 1%). Doug
