Slide needs adjusting

Has anyone ever had to adjust the slide on a tt? With the slide out and being on the inside of the trailer we have about an 1" difference at the top. What I mean is if you measure the wall to the slide it's about an 1" more at the top than it is about the bottom. It's a used tt our son picked up so just trying to help him get it redone.
Thanks for the input.

if it seals good all the way in and all the way out then you probably only have the usual poor quality workmanship of an rv.

If one side/edge is not pulling all the way in flush, then yes something is wrong
But we need info to help
At the very least the make, model, and year of trailer
Even better will be info about the type of slide mechanism
Hydraulic, electric motor, gear driven, screw driven etc..
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

the difference is side to side not top to bottom. I am going to try and get a picture posted

If you mean the top edge sticks in 1 inch further than the bottom when fully retracted
I think you will find its made that way
Go outside and look at it closely
Are the top and bottom flush with exterior wall of the TT, so it doesn't leak when closed
Or does the bottom stick out 1 inch
Or is the to edge bent out letting the top set further in?
I can explain it to you.

You might post a picture, I'm not sure if I understand your description of the problem. Or at least a model number.

Some slides are completely adjustable, some are partially, and I have one right now that isn't adjustable. To change how it closed would require relocating the bolts holding it.

You need to figure out which brand and type of slide out you have.

In wall? hydraulic ? Electric ? which manufacturer (of the mechanism not the coach)

Once you find out, Youtube can be very helpful. It was for us.

Maybe something HERE will help.

Many different slideouts......cable, electric, hydraulic, in wall/thru frame etc.
Is it time for your medication or mine?
