slide out issue on Cameo

Hi All I have a 2008 Cameo F35Sb3 and today one of my slide-outs would not function properly when trying to bring it in. It would move 6 inches then stop I would wait 10 sec and it would again move about 6 inches, after about three moves like this it comes all way in. tried this several times and same results. BTW goes out with no issues. So here are a couple of questions: Is this a bad power connection or is the slide-out motor starting to go. Where would the motor be on a Cameo underneath it is all sealed down there so cannot see.? it is the doorside slide out Would you access it from underneath or inside under the dinning and seating area? thanks for any reponses. cheers Peter

If it's within the first foot of retract it might be getting caught on the lip before finally getting above it.

The thing is when I try to bring it it the power sounds weak but it does eventually come on all the way so don’t see it being shear pin. Just takes multiple stop and starts.

Check the motor cogs, I think there is a share pin. I haven't had problems with mine... yet. Close the gap no sense making it easy for critters to enter the sub flooring. 😉

thanks and you are likely spot on i did crawl underneath and somebody before me has been in there and as you say the zipper is gone and the have held it together with safety pins ?? . I just wish I new if it is motor or poor power causing issue. Other slides work no issues.
I make have to do as you say and take motor out and have it tested.
Thanks.

The motors can be gotten to by the zipper area on the underbelly. Chances are once you open those zippers you wont get them to close properly. Move the insulation out of the way, you'll see the motor. Gorilla tape works well closing the flaps, clean it good to get the tape to stay on.
