I have NEVER seen a Slide topper center brace for keeping water from pooling on both Dometic and Carefree. Where did you see this brace? Dometic does make a support brace for when the Patio awning is retracted, but not a slide topper. Doug
If this is the "brace". Sorry, that is not a tension brace.
