Small space heater

Anyone recommend a small electric space heater for chilly nights when we have FHU ... don't need much, just heat a 16x8 RV ,,, not looking to save a buck, just want a good quality, dependable heater, quiet fan. Will be used mostly for shower time, when it's a little colder out, but not enough the fire up the propane wall heater...

Any advice - brands, model # --- thanks

Weird. I have seen this happen if the Vornado's bottom button that senses if it is knocked over is not well pressed in. However, once that is taken care of, I've had very good luck with the units, although they tend to only last 3-4 seasons or so.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Thanks for the input guys. I went with the Vornado w/ auto heat control thermostat. Also bought a Plemo first, but it sounds a bit noisy for a truck camper - so will test it in the camper. The Vornado is coming tomorrow - will see which one is quieter, and put the other one in the garage and in the sun room and in the rear office when it gets a bit chilly and I'm working in either once.

Will let you all know about noise ... see ya ! Happy Camping to all in 2018...

The low profile, under desk jobs work best if they have a blower...

An under-the-desk heater is hard to beat. I used to run industrial construction jobs, so had to be out and about in all types of weather and remember the feeling of coming it with frozen feet and feeling the warmth of my little heater. I knick named it Monica.

I have a 'My Heat' Personal Heater 200w 120VAC HEATER (around 700 btu)
made to go on a desk or under it

Less than $20, i got mine at Walmart, but i have seen them on Amazon

No heavy 12v wiring, since it will run from a small inverter

Thanks for the link to the 350 watt Handy Heater, Kayteg1!

It has a lot of bad reviews, but they seem to be from people who do not understand watts. And a few good reviews from people who do.

I like a low wattage heater for the van when running on battery. A little heat is better than none ๐Ÿ˜‰

It doesn't really matter how the heater is configured, the maximum input allowed for 120 v heater is 1500 watts. That energy is converted to heat. Any lost energy, converted into heat. That's it. Law of Conservation of Energy.

We have a 22ft class C and this small heater works really well. It changes fan speed as the area warms up and and as it cools to maintain the heat just as you want it. Very quite too. I originally bought it for our boat but have since sold the boat and kept the heater.. Bought it at West Marine the part number is CAFRAMO Delta Max Ceramic portable heater 110 volt 750/1500 watt. I think it was $35 or 40 bucks.

I think therein may be your problem. I have never had such trouble.

Last winter we fulltimed in CA (above freezing) and I found Handy heaters the best.
I placed 3 of them around camper and since they run low heat at low fan, they run constantly giving temp with no spikes.
In bathroom I plug it into outlet at 4 ft level, so it was nice and cozy when I was coming from the shower.
The thermostat build on the unit is prone to overreacting, so take some try by error to find proper comfort level, but once you have it set, no more hot spots, low noise and with size of them -no problem about space.
