What size and brand inverter would you recommend? I just run two laptops (3.2A), a small speaker and toothbrush off of my solar system (which consists of 2 deep cycle sealed gel 6V batteries, 135W panel and 30A controller). I have been running a 800W by Peak, but now it is fried.

i have a Go Power 300 PSW

i do use it on the 'electronics'

but the reason for buying it was the DDC aka 'dang digital controller' on the mattress heating pad

its going on 4yrs old of constant use

Ok, was just curious why you called it a 'solar' inverter.

Do you also run these at night?

384 watts for two laptops seems high. Or is that 3.2 amps at 12 volts?
What is the speaker rating?
toothbrush charging should be about nothing.

Normally I would say GoPower 300 watt sine wave inverter but the first two items seem odd.

We have been using a Samlex pure sinewave inverter over the last few years and it has been reliable. With what you plan to power I doubt you need the full 800 watts that your prior inverter provided. Our Samlex is 300 watts and powers our 40" HDTV, HD Satellite, sound bar, and Xbox dvd/game player in our rig's entertainment center. Amazon, theinverterstore.com, and invertersrus.com have plenty to chose from. Although I have used a modified sinewave inverter to operate the items you outlined, it is worth paying a bit more for a pure sinewave inverter since they will not have any issue with whatever electronics it needs to power.
