For RV use I would go to Delcity.com and buy their large gauge wire and their solder slug compatible connectors and solder slugs. The slugs go inside the terminal which is then heated with a propane torch to melt the solder, then the ends of the cable is pushed into the solder. It makes for as good a connection as you can get and will last 3-4 times as long as a crimped on terminal. Use adhesive lined shrink wrap tubing if you want to be extra sure of maximum life for the cables.
With the Delcity cables you can make them exactly the length that is needed. Buying the ready made ones you get ones that are too long.
