Staples coming through the rubber roof

Our unit was in for warranty work and I had the dealer perform the 2nd annual inspections required by CrossRoads RV. The service department found some areas that need to be re-sealed and three locations where staples are coming up and close to penetrating the rubber roof.

The dealer and I contacted CrossRoads and they are authorizing a roof repair. I am not sure what is required to perform the repairs. My gut feeling is that the use of staples along the side of the roof to hold "something' down is the design problem.

Some CrossRoads RV owners have had the roof membrane removed, deal with the loosened staples and then re-install the roof membrane.

Warranty on our unit - it was called a 2/5 year warranty (CrossRoads no longer carry the same warranty).

The undersigned Manufacturer warrants the structural integrity of each Aluminum Framed Recreational Vehicle, specifically floor, walls and roof from defect in construction for a period of FIVE (5) YEARS starting from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

Failure to have the annual inspections completed will void the 5 year structural warranty.
