Sticking Ignition Button

The button that you push to light the refrigerator is sticking, especially after a month of non-use. Is there a lubricant that can be used or solution to this problem? I have to pull it out with pliars after pushing it in. If I use it more frequently, it loosens up.

Commenta?
  • Brake clean may harm the plastic.
I would use CRC Power Lube, it's safe for most plastics and it improves electrical properties. I have found it to be a very effective product with many uses!
  • I would clean the traveling area good. Could spray with brake clean. Then use a good quality silicone spray. Make sure the ignitor end is free to move that it is not binding.
  • Heavy duty silicone spray lubricant is safe. But I don't know how effective it will be. At least it is dirt cheap.
