stress cracks on front cap?

Here are a couple pics of some cracks I have on the front cap on my signature 5th wheel. Anyone have same? How about suggestions on substances to use for repair?

  • I had similar on the front of my motor home. It was at factory for some body work and paint. They fixed the stress cracks by building up fiberglass on the back side and repainted. I think yours would be same then refinish with gel coat to match existing. Might be able to build up from front. Just don't know. Recommend you watch how it is refinished because many places want to use paint the same color as gel coat. They can make it match but it probably will not age the same.
  • If the cap is fiberglass, the cracks you see May only be the gel coat and not through the fiberglass. Hairline cracks in gel coat are quite common on boats and RV's.
Can you take a razor blade and put it in the crack very far? If not, I'm guessing it's the gel coat. Basically a cosmetic issue and not a structural issue.
