Suburban Furnace Issue

I have having a weird issue. When suburban furnace goes to kick on and the whether is wet, the blower will try to engage for less than a second and stop. It will repeat this about every 30 seconds. When I have had propane issues in the past, the furnace would try to ignite. In this case it does not. I can only think of electronics getting wet. Any other ideas?

  • Poor connections. Check all the connections for green corrosion. make sure the connections are tight. Check connector on circuit board.
If fan was running longer, I would say a cracked ignitor electrode.
  • Thanks Bud. All of the above was checked before posting.

I suppose it is possible the circuit board was getting wet.

I dried it with a hair drying and I am back up for now.
I will attempt to protect the circuit board from moisture and see how it goes.
  • If drying board makes it work, you could spray the board with a sealant like lacquer. Keep it off the connections.
