Suburban LP Only Waterheater

Question

A friend of ours is having an issue with his LP only Suburban waterheater. When he tries to ignite it, you can hear it trying to light but it doesn’t. He said he tried to light it manually this weekend-it started to work then shut off almost immediately.

Would anyone have any ideas why it is not lighting. I believe the camper is a new Wildwood X-Lite.

SoundGuy-yes that is what he will do if it isn’t something easy to fix on his own.2oldman-plugged into power and everything else electrical seems to be working well.

Is this a pilot light or a DSI water heater?
DSI could have dirty or restricted burner tube, bad gas valve, or improperly adjusted ignitor flame sensor.
Pilot light version could be bad gas valve or bad thermo-couple.
