Um? Do you have insurance on your house? It never moves either. Think of a surge protector as an insurance policy... good to have and hope it's never needed. Unseen to the eye, your power fluctuates all over the charts all the time. It's just never enough to really be noticeable.
I was plugged into low voltage last weekend. It didn't hurt anything, especially since we're not using air conditioning yet, and everything inside the camper is pretty much 12 volt, including the television. But the microwave, which normally pops a microwavable bag of popcorn in 1 minute 55 seconds too 5 minutes to pop. Had it not been for the pop-corn, we would have never known.
