Surge Protector Noise

I have a 34730 (30 amp) portable surge protector made by TRC that I purchsed in 2009. It has recently developed a rattleing when you pick it up and move or shake it. During our last trip it made a very loud buzz when I pluged it in. I unpluged it and gave it a bump with my hand and pluged it back in and the buzz was gone. It seemed to be working ok (all the signal lights worked as normal) but still had the rattle sound when moved. Does anyone know if these things can be checked to make sure they are working as designed? I was going to take the back off the unit to see if the rattle was from a loose screw etc but it requires a special tool that I don't have. Maybe the buzz nd rattle are indictions that it needs to be replaced. Appreciate any comments and recommendations.

I figure it this way: They designed it, they made it, they know what's inside and by far are the best equipped to decide just how serious to take your complaint
