Swap to led question

You can buy "lifetime" guarantee LEDs at a cost of $3 - $12 each. You can buy cheap E-bay LEDs for $1 - $1.5 each, including shipping. We have 14 bulbs in our trailer. It cost us $21 for 15 LEDs. They are excellent. And if one dies? No hassles trying to claim a lifetime warranty. It costs next to nothing to replace.

I just replaced the bulbs using both Ebay and domestic sources. All have been performing flawlessly over the last 3 camping seasons using a fraction of the current of the incandescents they replaced. Thus far, the only difference of note between China and domestic sourced LEDs is price as they all were manufactured in Asia. The LEDs I used do not contain onboard voltage regulators so audio/video interference issues are non-existent, and they have easily handled our converter's 14.8 Vdc bulk charging routine.

Beware, not all Ebay sources offer the same quality, reading up on prior LED posts for recommended sources would prove fruitful. I've done many mods to our rig, but preferring dry-camping and boondocking has elevated this mod as one of my favorites. It effectively felt like we had added an extra battery after the conversion.

If your choice of keywords doesn't work, trying something else. It isn't google, although many do use google to search this forum.

For instance, using Advanced Search, putting 'LED' in the keywords box, and searching in 'Subject only' reveals 9 pages of helpful posts.



Search engine tutorial

Not to continue this but what I put in the search function was "switching to led bulbs" and what came up was regarding refrigerators and solar, not really helpful to me, but those who actually answered the question were.

There have been many many posts on replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs. Here is a link to one of the posts.

I have replaced all of mine with LEDs that I bought on eBay. Much less expensive than any American source. They are all made in China anyway.

Because sometimes people just want a quick and easy answer, like reading a dictionary definition vs an entire encyclopedia entry.

How about just not answering and saving your fingertips for something that is worthy of your answering?
