There is a ratchet strap holding the generator in place on the right rear corner of the generator - going through the handle. You can just make it out in the top picture to the right of the red sticker.
Sorry, locks, cables, chains will only deter the "causal" snatch and run thieves..
DESPERATE THIEVES it will only delay them a few seconds, those cables are no match to modern day tools.. Cable cutters and portable battery powered grinder with cut off wheel only takes seconds to cut a cable, chain or even handle of a gen.
Out of sight is the BEST POLICY if you don't want something to grow legs. Even a soft bed cover would be better than full on advertising of a open bed.
I have a hard bed cover, hides a lot and is lockable, thieves could get in if they work at it.. The problem is they will make a lot of noise for a long time just to get into my bed cover.. And they don't know if there is anything under the cover or not..
