Never saw this question asked, say your truck has 275/70/18 tires your trailer has 225/75/15 speed rated 65, if you’re truck is doing 65 how fast are your trailer tires going what I am getting on a tire speed conversion chart the trailer tires are going 76 mph

miles-per-hour is miles-per-hour regardless of tire size/circumference/width or what type of vehicle the tire is mounted on...

so the correct answer is, if the truck is doing 65mph on its 270/70-18 tires, the 225/75-15 tires on the trailer that is being towed along behind will be going 65mph also....

My TT tires are speedy compared to my SUV tires. Been ticketed twice for my TT tires speed.

Sounds like a math problem my 9th grade math teacher would think up. She had some of the most convoluted word problems ever.
Whatever the speed, I hope your truck and trailer arrive at the same time.

I can here it now. Sir I'm going to have to give you a ticket because your trailer was speeding..:B .

Tires speeds are rated for ground speeds, not for rotational velocities (directly). That's why the ratings are expressed in mph rather than rpm. Obviously, for a given tire size, one can convert from one to the other using a simple conversion factor.

This actually makes a lot of sense because the internal centrifugal and/or centripetal forces (depending on your accepted frame of reference) in the tire are greater with the larger diameter at a given rpm anyhow, due to the longer lever arm to the tread.

You need Goodyear Endurance rated 87 mph.
There is no conversion as the tires are rated in ground speed not rpm.

Definitely turning faster, but not moving faster over the ground.

This is a trick question!

The RV, truck and all tires are going the same speed, in relation to the ground.

But the truck's tires are probably turning slower (RPM), because of the diameter.

I believe the tire ratings take it all in, so if you and your RV is traveling at 65, that is the rating you read.

Use GPS or a phone app to see how fast your really going but assuming your trucks speedo is right, that's' the speed you, the truck and the trailer oare going - period.

Do a ratio between circumference of the trailer tires to the circumference
You can take circumference of each and determine how many revolutions per mile.
I believe 76 will be close in many cases.
