Travel Trailer Mud Flaps??

The metal frame / rear bumper areas behind the rear wheels on my TT are constantly being pelted by road dirt / sand and then rusting... Has anyone seen or know of where to purchase a set of mud flaps for a travel trailer? Maybe this is something I have to design and install myself but something must be done...
  • Visit a farm machinery dealership and buy some round bailer belting many sell it in bulk used will work as well.
  • Mine has factory mudflaps. It's hard to see, but this is the as close as I have at the moment. The mudflap bolts onto a length of angle iron that's welded to the frame behind the rear most tire.

    Hope that helps.

  • I added plain jane, after market, solid rubber pickup truck mudflaps to my trailer. It's been awhile so I don't remember the details, but it was really easy. They keep the rear of the trailer much cleaner, especially the black/gray tank drain area. Very worth the effort.
  • Bought a single semi trailer flap and cut it in half. Mounted with angle iron.
  • Just try and keep the mud flap back far enough or if closer to the tire short enough so it doesn't get caught between a curb and the tire when you have to back up.
