I don't have the repeater, but my main concern is the length of time for notification of loss of signal. I can see losing contact for a half hour and then regaining contact, and you'd never know that you had been traveling for a half hour with no protection.
I realize that the repeater will probably solve the issue of loss of signal, but how can you tell, if it takes an hour to notify you? An hour is a very long time to go without knowing you have a tire or two that is not reporting. Five to ten minutes seems like a better time frame.
BTW thanks for posting on the forum, nice to know that some companies are concerned with their products' performance and reliability.
