Using "Gel" Battery Tender Plus on Lead-Acid Battery

Been charging my 12v, 24-series, lead-acid RV battery with a "Programmed for Gel" Battery Tender Plus for the last few days. Used to use this BTP on my BMW motorcycle which had a Gel-cell battery. I've heard it's ok to use the Gel-cell BTP on lead-acid batteries--but, maybe not.

Even though the indicator lights show a 100% charged battery (steady green light, float mode) after 24-48 hours or so, I still read 13.7 volts at the battery terminals with this BTP connected and on. Shouldn't it drop down to approx. 13.2v at some point? Won't 13.7v eventually overcharge a lead-acid battery?

Gel MC battery is nonsensical IMO but whatever maybe they make them. I would use a SLA or AGM.

My BTP (for lead acid) does 14.6 for 4-5 hrs, then drops to 13.3, then slowly drops to 12.9 if and when the day heats up to 100 degs. On a 75 deg day, it stays at 13.2-3.

I din't know there was a BT for Gell battery only, nor would I ever want one.
Neither did I know of a gel cell MC battery,.....AGM....VR SLA, yes.
