Water in my storage bays

I had a bigger awning installed and the Awnings arm is now located by my storage bay and when it rains and the awning is not open water runs down the rail water gets in my storage bay. Any simple ideas to divert the water?

    tedp,

    Did it work?

Nope, I think it's running down the awning rail and then into the bays.
  • My water was coming down the side of the coach from the back end where the gutter ended on the roof.
I put a small bead of clear silicone on the top of the storage bay.

Done and done, no more water intrusion. Going a several years now.

Install a rain gutter about one inch above the storage door.

    Already did.

    Thanks!
  • Make sure all the holes for mounting the brackets (all of them) have been sealed
with a proper sealant. It almost has to be the newly drilled holes.

  • Determine how and why water is getting into the bay. No matter where the water is running down the outside, it should not be able to enter the bay. Is the water coming if from behind the new pieces or screws installed? You may need to climb inside with a flashlight while someone hoses the coach down or you can put your phone with camera set to video and flashlight to see why it's leaking.
