We've started to use our water pump for the first time at a Provincial park for the Labour Day weekend and the pump seems to take a long time to shut off, or doesn't shut off at all.. This happens more often if you just open a faucet briefly enough to start the pump and then shut it off. It's like there is air in the lines after a quick run. If I run the water again for about 5-10 seconds, it will start to speed up and get louder and then finally shut off.
It's a flojet pump and there is no adjustments on it. I suspect that the diaphragm is leaking. Anyone else have/had the same issue?
Also the pump and plumbing are very very loud in this coach. Much much louder than my last TT. It seems no attention was placed in dampening the vibrations of this pump throughout the coach.

look for small leaks on the outside of your rig, my last TH was doing that and i found a faulty check valve at the city water inlet. Regardless, it's likely air in the lines from somewhere
It doesn't have an accumulator tank, but I may install one and see if it helps. I haven't checked the strainer since this trailer is brand new and this was the first time using the pump.
I've also heard good things about the Shurflo 4048 and that it is very quiet. I 'm going to call Grand Design and see what they can do for me.

We have an '03 Itasca that we bought new. I have added an accumulator tank. The pump always slows down before shutting of, like it's a 2 speed motor. I've wondered about it at times but never worried about it. I don't even know what make or model it is. Maybe I'll check it out.
my pump will be noisy to the point of what I call a hammer. As Charles stated, I run all the faucets one at a time until I get all the burps out and all is well.
But you need to know if you have an accumulator or not. I would not be without one.
If it has an accumulator tank, it will do that. That saves wear and tear on the pump cycling. I've added an acum tank to every RV I've had.
