Water pump issue

Took my Class A in for warranty work on the original water pump that had quit working. They replaced the one old with a new pump. Just took it out and when I turned the pump on I noticed water pouring out of my water fill/dump bay.

Open the door and found that when the pump was on, water was being forced out of the City Water fill connection. All of my levers are in the correct position for using the pump. Not sure what they did at the repair facility but I'm not too crazy about bringing it back to them as I have had issues in the past. Won't be able to pull the panel off until the weekend. Is it possible they switched the input/output lines on the pump?

There is flow inside the Coach, but not what I'm used to. :h

The check value in the city water connection is stuck open. Stick your finger in and wiggle the white piece.

Or the O-ring on plunger of check valve has been dislodged.

2008 model rig.....replace check valve in the city water connection.

Until then....screw a 3/4" PVC plug in city water connection

Just checked, it was a dislodged O-Ring. Thanks for the advise!

  • take it back, if you work on it they will void any warranty. make them do it right.
