Water pump runs continually

We purchased a used MH Sand are on our first trip with it. We are new to RVing as well. The water pump runs continuously. We watched a YouTube video about getting an open valve closed and went through the steps twice and it hasnโ€™t helped.
Is there anything else we can check before we take it in to the repair shop?

I am unfamiliar with your rig, but if you are connected to city water, turn your pump off. You only use your pump when you are not connected and using your fresh water tank. By hooking to city water, you bypass your pump and water tank.

The most common cause of this type problem is, you have your City Water tank fill valve OPEN. This will cause the pump to continually recycle the water. I also assume it will turn OFF when requested to do so? From the Pump On/Off switch?. Now, if you are connected to City Water and that valve is left open, your fresh tank will overflow. Liste the info I could in the profile. Some of their selections are outdated and donโ€™t have years past 2020

Verify the fill valve is in the run position, if equipped.

A few basic questions

Is there ample water in the fresh tank?
Are you allowing enough run time to fill water heater?
Is the valve for winterizing in the proper position?
Are you opening a single faucet to allow air to escape?

A knowledgeable friend, with more RV experience may be able to help with diagnosis, rather than taking to dealer.

Only a few things will allow a water pump to run continuously - an empty fresh water tank, a bad check valve, or a leak.

Do you have water in your fresh water tank?

Are you hooked up to a water connection? And if so are you leaving your pump on?

Are your valves set appropriately?

Is there evidence of a leak somewhere?

Was there any sort of pre-delivery inspection done on this MH?

By the way, did you get your light switch sorted out?
