What is a Solar Power Sine Wave Inverter

While shopping online for a small (300w) true sine inverter, I saw a lot of places had Solar Sine Wave Inverters. Are those models powered by Solar panels instead of the RV batteries or is there something else to it that I'm not seeing in the printed info on them?

I couldn't find any of these in my part of the country.
I found some in Ca and AZ.
Called an 800 number for Lowes, got a Polite Human, who cared.
She called the store in AZ, verified that it was in stock, and made arrangements with the store manager to have it shipped to me.
One of those unusually good customer service experiences.

Well. I used to say there were two types of inverters
MSW and TSW (also Inline and stand alone)

But Now I realize there is also a "Solar" inverter.. This is a tad like a "Digital" antenna

No difference between a "Solar" PSW/TSW inverter and a regular PSW/TSW inverter save when they add the word SOLAR.. They jack up the price.

Many "Key words" make no difference to the product, operates exactly like the same product without that "Key Word" but... COSTS MORE.

Are of those "Key words". (or phrases).

its not critical, but a PSW spare for a low price is a good backup

My Lowe's has them in Arizona. I picked up a 600 watt for $69. I use it for my TV, Sat Receiver and DVD player because they always reboot when switching from generator to main inverter. With this, these three devices are always on their own inverter. In the past, I have also used a computer UPS for this task. it is a PITA when the sat receiver spends 5 minutes rebooting.

I just checked Lowes online for the Zamp units. Prices seem exceptional, but not in stock, or available.
The zp 300 ps at lowes lists @ $38 everywhere else @ $150.
If anyone knows of a way to get one of these, at these prices, please let me know, or PM me.

Can't Beat The Price

I see the seller is a "New Seller" and all products he has for sale cost a penny. I reported the situation to amazon.

Here are three examples. I am not considering any of them and list them only to explain what I meant. I always thought an inverter, whether pure sine or modified sine hooked up to the batteries and converted DC to AC power. Why mention Solar? You charge batteries and that can be done by means other than Solar.

Zamp Solar sells PSW inverters billed as "solar" only because that's the business they're in.

Lowes is blowing out all their Zamp gear. I bought an 800W PSW for $79, and a 1kw for $129. You gotta look for them cuz they might be on the upper shelves

Yes there are packages of panels, batteries, inverters that are put together for convenience. Most come at a premium price and not always the usefulness you want.

I have and recommend GoPower 300w SW inverter. Very low idle draw and a provision for a remote power switch.

Solar and battery is separate.
