My TT has 30 amp system. There are five breakers on the panel labeled 1. Main 2. GFCI 3. Microwave 4. Gen/Com 5. Water Heater.All are understandable except #4. I know it provides power for the reefer but I have no idea what else. Anyone have any idea what GEN/COM stands for?

General, and perhaps converter (could it be an "n" instead of "m")?Sometimes the only way is to flip them and see what doesn't work.

On my trailer I have Main, Air conditioner, Microwave, General 1 & general 2. General 1 is the GFI circuit which is the outside glug, Fridge plug in the outside fridge compartment, kitchen counter plug, bathroom counter plug and the converter plug under the sink area (all susceptible to getting wet. General 2 is all other inside plugs which are receptacles in the bedroom, one next to the entry door, one at the dinette and one at the bunk area.

Gen/COM for yours is probably everything else that isn't CFI. Best way to find out is turn it off and see which are the working GFI outlets.

GEN is definitely "general". Takes too much time to write out the full word. :R

COM is probably "CON" for converter. To be sure, simply turn the breaker off and see what isn't working. Can check which receptacles are on the "gen" circuit at same time. Workers prolly can't spell either. :R

I replaced the the single stage Atwood converter assembly with a Powermax PM4B-60 Boondocker but kept the Atwood Distribution Panel.

Or if you want to run the A/C from a generator that barely has enough power to run it. In that case too you'd want the fridge on gas. Simply put if you're trying to use a minimal amount of AC power, the fridge and the converter are the first to go.

DO you know what converter you have or is that part of the Atwood assembly shown.

There is basically no reason to ever turn the converter off less you hook an inverter to the house batteries and plug into it.. IF You do that you also want your Fridge on GAS.

Try this.. Turn on 12 volt lights while plugged in, Note how bright they are Note if Fridge is on AC or Gas... plug things into 120v outlets Small fan, Night light/path light. that kind of things will do, you can use most any light or a radio if you like.

Turn it off and see what happens.. I'm guessing fridge will switch to GAS. some lights go off and house lights (12 volt) will dim a bit.

The dimming house lights are the converter shutting off (it outputs 13.6 in float batteries 12.6 if fully charged so you loose a volt)

The first thing I did was turn it off to see what happened. The only thing I could see was the fridge switched to gas so I know it powers the fridge. All the 120 volt outlets are on the GFCI circuit. I went back, disconnected the battery and turned on 12 volt lights. When I flipped the breaker the lights went off so I now know it powers the fridge and converter.

I can only assume the GEN is for general and the COM is a misprint for Converter. Not surprised at the misprint, it is an Atwood product. The panel is, the converter has been replaced with a 4 stage Powermaster Boondocker unit.

Take notes, that is what it controls
NOTE: Same procedure for the GFCI chain.

It is General purpose/Converter.
