What year are my honda 2000s

Is it easy to determine the year of my Honda 2000 gens? I purchased on from my father in law and don't know the year. He orig purchased for his fifth wheel but sold it years ago so the gen sat. Carb was bad so I rebuilt and it runs perfect but wondered how old it might be. There is one serial nu,bear that ends in 95 so it made me wonder if it could be 22 years old but that seems too old.

Yes, just drop me a PM with the full serial number (EXXX-1234567)I can pull up some history...not an actual date it was built, but I can approximate that based on when it was wholesaled to a dealer. I can also let you know if there are any active recalls, updates, bulletins, etc. that apply to that serial number.

I would imagine the serial number would have some sort of date code. A quick Google search would tell. My EU2000 is 13 years old BTW
