Where's the gauge for water tank and other (MH Dolphin 97)

Hi all

After an amazing and quick answer to my question about the batteries, here's another one that I cannot find anywhere.

We have a MH National Dolphin 1997 and what I really don't like so far is, I'm not able to know how full is my tank of gray water and when we are doing some #2 hihi.

The same thing happen when I want to fill up my water tank, I don't have any gauge anywhere. I need to lift up the bed, and my wife from inside scream at me to tell me to stop.

Do you know if they are somewhere that I don't know.

If not, can we install a gauge for that and it's useless or not?

Thanks in advance
  • If you don't see any tank capacity indication on a panel somewhere, there probably aren't any gauges. If you want gauges that actually work, check out these.
  • Normally, the stove range hood will have the monitor panel for the black and grey tanks, FW tank, LP tank, and also a switch for the water pump, range hood fan and light.

If all or some of that is "dead", check the DC fuse panel for a blown fuse or two.

Should be in the hallway by the center of the RV. watch this video. immediately after he closes the refer door and swings the camera towards the bedroom, you will see the white monitor panel in the hallway. Doug

I don't have the same interior model, not the same bedroom and bathroom.

I have 4 monitor in the hallway but nothing with gauge for water or anything else.
  • When I learned here that most of the “idiot light”gauges are unreliable I made my own freshwater tank level indicator. There happened to be a drain tap right at the back of our C MH. I attached a clear plastic tube to the outlet and stuck the other. End over the hitch support. With the tap open I can see the height of water in the tube.

It seems the freshwater tank gets empty before the grey and black tanks get full so this is a pretty good solution.

I just used this National to show where National installed them. They always installed them IN THAT hallway on the wall. WE sold and I serviced National from 1992 until they went under in 2007. They ALL had a tank monitor system. Where is the Water Pump switch located? Doug
