Window Screen Replacements

Does anyone have experience with window screen replacement? I have a Holiday Rambler bedroom window with no screen or frame (long story). Are these something I need to have made? If so any ideas on making something myself to keep the bugs out and let the air in? Please no helpful hints about keeping the window closed!

A little update. The replacement screen would run about $80. But the Indiana service center did email me after a bit(guess spring is a busy time) and it was suggested I buy a screen kit as this would be much cheaper. There are two screen kits available at local hardware, one seems to be the right size. Will let you know how it goes when I get to it!

Found a HR service center by googling. Link here was dead. Called Indiana Center twice, no response. However the west coast center was very helpful. Sent a schematic with the numbers of all my windows. They have exact dimensions and are contacting manufacturer for me. I chatted with Melody Vincent who was so helpful. I told her I was
disappointed Navistar bought HR since the last two Ford diesels they engineered were horrible. She said they had just been bought out by the parent of Fleetwood.
Take out the window? Wow. To replace the screen? Or did I misunderstand?

Just went through replacing an entire window. Y'all have to remove the window to find the model number . Dumb but that's the only way according to the manufacturers. Found my replacement window at Bob's Used RV Parts in High Springs, Fl on our way back from NJ.

If you don't have any luck obtaining a screen from the Manufacturer, there are places who can make a screen for you. (Unfortunately, they are no longer in business) That's what I did when one of my screens blew off on the highway. Good luck.

To the OP,
replacing an RV screen (the screen part) is the same as replacing a torn screen, but you need the screen's frame. Start here: http://www.holidayrambler.com/holidayrambler/contact

Maybe they can tell you what other RVs in their product line use the same window, or the make/model of the window - if it is common to the RV industry. If they don't have a screen and frame for your RV to sell to you then maybe they can give you the information to source a screen (on frame) from a dealer or a used RV parts supplier.

Donn how does one find the brand name and model of the window? I have had TTs and have never noticed the brand name on the window.

Try and find the brand name and model of the window. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement. Either that or just keep the window closed.
