Winegard Antenna

Want to add a Batwing? to our Winegard antenna. When in the down position it is against the AC shroud so the added wing would not fit. Want to change the down position. Do I change the down position from the roof or inside? Thanks

That 19" Magnavox *is* a digital TV, isn't it?

Also, is "input" or "source" on TV set on "TV"? Another of my mistakes!

I am sure you have thought of these, but is the selector/booster pushed in the "on" position? Have you run a channel scan? I only ask because I have made these mistakes.

Me again. Installed the Wingman. Do not get any picture at all. It is a 19" Magnavox. Tried the TV in the house and it worked. I feel it must be something I'm doing in setting it up. Need help!

It's called a Wingman, and no, it only installs one way.

If your installation is similar to the photo shown, I would just rotate the base assembly far enough to the right to clear the Wingman past the A/C and reseal it.

X2. This is exactly what I did when I add my Wingman. Just reindex the whole antenna assemble a few degrees and reseal.

You have to turn the mounting plate (Roof) around.. So it's done from topside.

Or in many cases you can cut the end director element off the Wingman, Not as good as having all 3, but still better than not having it.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

The dial on the ceiling is keyed to the down position
You flip sides on the roof
All you have to do is remember the front of the antenna now points out from the RV not in towards the RV , so the disk pointer is facing the back of the antenna not the front where you want to point the antenna, put a mark on the dial for the new front spot pointing
After a few outings to will have it down pat
You still line up the dial marks inside just the same as always to store it away
I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

Ran into same problem on previous Motor Home. Several choices available. If Batwing is older model, try a newer model without the wingman. They were upgraded about 2005 or so. Install Sensar Pro Meter and booster inside to replace current power supply. Replace with a Jack instead. Replacing the head is easy, Just tw pins to pull and replace. The SensarPro booster is an exact-fit replacement, depending on where it is and how hard to get to. Easiest solution is the Jack as a replacement.

I had a clearance problem with the Wingman and I was told to change the position I had to remove it all and re-install backwards, which wasn't advised.

So I opted to put a Jack Antenna on.
