Dodge leaky rear sliding window fix

My 07' Dodge Ram's rear window started to leak,a bit back we noticed a musty smell coming from the rear of the cab after looking around we discovered that the storage compartment under the rear driver's seat had been filling up with water after a rainstorm. I called the dealer and of course they immiediatly reminded me that my truck was no longer under warranty and they had no clue what could be the problem but would look into it,after some heavy searching in the Ram Forums I found the fix;

These are drain-holes that were plugged,so the water can travel from the sliding window down the bottom track couldn't exit out through the bottom of the rear window on both sides

There are two of these units on either side of the window on the corners,i used a large pair of needle-nosed pliers that hve a round blunt end to push the plastic end fitting out towards the corner then they could be lifted out to expose the drain hole undernieth. Using an air-line sprayer with a fine rubber tip I jammed it into the track to blow compressed air through the hole to clear it,after I was sure the drain holes were clear I poured some water into the track to make sure they were clear.

Then I put everything back together by re-installing the plastic cable ends back into the track,there is enough spring in the wires so it's easy to re-install them by simply pushing them towars the corner of the window and pressing them back into place.

I hope this might help someone else out and those with this rear sliding window should give the drains a blow every year as I plan to!

T slider window in our 2000 Dodge Ram van 1500 leaking. Just cleaned out weep holes, helped a little but noticed the window track where window slides is broken. I’m having a hard time finding where to buy replacement from. Some say I will need to diy a replacement.

It’s narrow and made of plastic...help please it’s been raining and don’t want to get water damage inside!

Another fix would be take out that sliding window and have a glass company put in the stock solid window.:)

I had a Dakota with a sliding window and I could never open it because all it would do is blow dirt into the cab from the bed.
