True...lot of truck drivers (guys with a CDL) are more likely to be redneck.

Bet won't be long before the tranny burns up. It might work if you put some seriously steep gears in the back, like 5.13s, and deal with the 60 mph top speed.

Funny how many sweat going over GCWR on a modern truck (which is only a warranty rating to begin with). I'd MUCH rather be on a 6.4 Hemi w/ 8 spd, 10k over GCWR, than on this thing...

I can see that setup being under powered. Especially if a late 70's early 80's 454/460 4bbl motor. Many of those only had 175-200 HP and maybe 300 lb ft of torque. Going thru a Th400 3 spd tranny.....

I was running down the road at 13xxx per DOT scale with my 4.3 6sp 342 gears 1500 pulling a trailer. I had more get up and go than the BB setups back in that time frame.

Chassis wise they are probably fine. But power drivetrain...not fun!

I once saw a short 5th wheel mounted backwards on the stretched frame of old cabover Pete. The part that normally hangs over bed of pickup was over the front of a van on a dolly.
