I have not yet finished, but my plan was to install the thule bike racks - the ones that fit the 2 bike tires on a track and a support bracket that comes up to hold the bar between the pedals. The unit itself is sturdy, I contemplated putting a cross bracket or 2 if it is not stable once the weight of the bikes is loaded.
