03 AF 860. What does this switch do?

Single light switch down by the slide out switch, bottom left by the door.
It doesn't turn on any lights, and all the lights work.
Old camper was a 05 AF and switch there turned on the light in the ceiling iirc.
Any ideas?
Everything works back there.
  • On our 990 that switch controls the fluorescent light just inside the door. The light fixture itself has a switch also. Both have to be on for the light to work.
  • On my 2012 AF811, the porch light switch is above the door on the inside. Next to the slide switch on the floor is a second switch for a light right above the doorway on the inside. The rest of the main cabin lights are controlled by a switch above the range hood. Dinette and sink lights are controlled directly at the fixtures. Under the thermostat are two additional switches - These are for the external left side light and master power switch for all cab over lights and the fan.

On my LANCE, the switch is a brake for the slide-out. I can not manually crank the slideout unless I throw that switch.

Likewise, I can not use the remote unless the switch is thrown the other direction.

Interesting, I'll ck this out but I don't think these slides have a brake?
It gots 2 big hood tie down bungees on the slider though! Maybe to make u feel better going down the road that it won't come out in its own??

If the slideout has a motor, it NEEDS a motor brake or the slide will come out on it's own. Are the bungees factory or someone added them on?

    ***EDIT***
After a little research, maybe Arctic Fox doesn't use a brake on their electric motor after all.

  • Not water heater, that's up front, slide out works with it on or off.
Pretty sure Vinsil is right, and it's just not connected to the first set of ceiling lights or switch is bad. Those lights still work though with the ceiling switch.
Our old 05 AF 860 had 2 switches there. 1 for ceiling lights and I think other for rear porch light (which the switch is above the door in the 03)
    Thanks.

It should turn on the ceiling light. Unless the switch is bad...
