'05 AF990 issue, possibly other years and models

Decided to remove the kitchen sink while replacing the original pot metal sink drains with stainless steel.

Noticed daylight coming up from the front corner behind the water heater which wasn't visible without removing the sink.

Inspection showed 1/4" by ~4" gap to the outside between the wing and main wall where the aluminum angle stops at the front tie down bracket.

Same gap on the passenger side was hidden by the converter.

Couldn't see that either side had an issue from the outside.

Dicor filled it up. Never had a problem but should make it even warmer now, plus keeps the bugs out.

They may have corrected this issue in newer designs.

Other AF models in the same year range are made quite similar in that area.

Can't hurt to check it.
  • I'm surprised Quality Control didn't catch that before it left the factory. :B
